Ron DeSanits Wants DOJ To Investigate Hillary Clinton Over Email

With the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community bringing in the  FBI to look at how then U.S. Sec. of State Hillary Clinton used private emails on classified matters, U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, the chairman of the U.S. House National Security Subcommittee, is calling for the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate.

Carlos Curbelo Only Florida Rep Breaking From Party Lines Vote on Sanctuary City Funding

On Thursday, in a party lines vote, the U.S. House passed a measure cutting off federal funds from the U.S. Department of Justice to states and cities that refuse to enforce current immigration laws. 

The “Enforce the Law for Sanctuary Cities Act” from U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter Jr., R-Calif., passed the House on 241-179 votes. Six Democrats joined the Republican majority in supporting the measure while five Republicans voted against it. 

GOP Senate Hopefuls Stress Conservative Credentials in the Race to Replace Marco Rubio

The Republican primary to replace U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., in the Senate in 2016 is on with the leading candidates trying to claim the right-of-center ground. 

Having entered the race earlier in the week, U.S. Rep. David Jolly, R-Fla., tried to get his conservative credentials in order on Thursday with a new video. In the video, Jolly insisted he is a conservative. National conservative groups, many of which are backing U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., in the primary, have been firing away at Jolly on a host of fronts including his support of same-sex marriage.

On Thursday, conservative PAC Maggie’s List endorsed Martin County School Board Member Rebecca Negron in the race to replace U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Fla., in Congress. Murphy is running for the U.S. Senate in 2016.

Hillary Clinton Still Ahead of the Democratic Field in Florida

Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton continues to hold a commanding lead in the Florida Democratic presidential primary, a new poll shows. 

Mason-Dixon unveiled a new poll on Friday which has Clinton, who leads all of the national polls, far out in front of her potential Democratic rivals. Clinton pulls a majority -- 58 percent --  of those surveyed. 

In a memo accompanying the poll, Brad Coker of Mason-Dixon insisted she was “still far ahead of the primary field.”

Jeb Bush Leads, Donald Trump Upside Down in Florida Primary Poll

A new poll shows businessman Donald Trump is running worse in Florida than at the national level after his comments about U.S. Sen. John McCain’s, R-Ariz., service in the Vietnam War while former Gov. Jeb Bush, R-Fla., is the favorite son of the Sunshine State.  

Mason-Dixon released a poll of the Republican presidential primary  in Florida on Friday showing Bush ahead with 28 percent. U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., takes second with 16 percent. Gov. Scott Walker, R-Wis., places third with 13 percent followed by Trump with 11 percent.

A new poll shows former St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Baker runs close to former Gov. Charlie Crist in the race for the open congressional seat currently held by U.S Rep. David Jolly, R-Fla.
