After 10 Glorious Years, Sunshine State News and I Are Passing the Baton

You probably can't imagine how much fun I've had at Sunshine State News over the last 10 years. I don't think anybody could.

The Trump sledgehammer is coming down about as hard as it can on the Environmental Protection Agency -- no muscle spared.
U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., the chairwoman of the Subcommittee on the Middle East and North Africa, made the following statement at a joint subcommittee hearing entitled, “Israel, the Palestinians, and the United Nations: Challenges for the New Administration":
February brings Black History Month, and we will see a lot of pictures of Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and so many other black civil rights icons from the Florida Democratic Party. This is the month the black community will get a lot of verbal love from the FDP.
During a Senate floor speech on Tuesday night, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., highlighted the plight of Cuban dissident Dr. Eduardo Cardet, who was beaten and imprisoned for opposing the Castro regime. Rubio’s remarks are part of his #expressionNOToppression initiative, which highlights human rights abuses around the world. 
January 31, 2017 will go down in America as an historic and monumental night for President Donald Trump and "We, the People."  
Much noise has been made by the Mainstream Media (MSM) and left-wing groups about the so-called “ban” on Muslims coming to America.
In 2013, a college student assigned to research a deadly substance sought help via Twitter: "I can't find the chemical and physical properties of sarin gas someone please help me." An expert at a security consulting firm tried to be helpful, telling her that sarin is not gas. She replied, "yes the [expletive] it is a gas you ignorant [expletive]. sarin is a liquid & can evaporate ... shut the [expletive] up."
This column is a vehicle for a number of items in a bits-and-pieces, strictly opinion, sometimes irreverent format. Look for "Just Sayin'" to run once a week in this spot.
Is new Democratic Chair Stephen Bittel wearing blinders? It appears that's the case,  because his $100,000 program recently rolled out to incentivize voter registration only includes small and medium Florida counties (read: working-class white voters).
When thinking about the ongoing debate over water in Tallahassee, forget the policy-speak.
