Ron DeSantis Slams Alan Grayson, Patrick Murphy on Planned Parenthood

U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., took aim at U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson’s, D-Fla., support of federal funding of Planned Parenthood on Monday. Both DeSantis and Grayson are running for the U.S. Senate in 2016. 

“Alan Grayson’s support of taxpayer dollars going to an organization that traffics in baby parts is disgusting and beyond the pale," DeSanits said on Monday. “There are a litany of groups and organizations that do great things for women's health that do not sell dismembered baby parts. I do not believe taxpayer dollars should be used to fund an organization that engages in such horrific conduct, yet Alan Grayson wants to keep the tax dollars flowing to Planned Parenthood and is even celebrating that organization in the face of graphic and disturbing videos demonstrating its barbaric conduct.”

DeSantis then turned his fire to U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Fla., Grayson’s main opponent in the Democratic primary. 

“But at least Alan has been honest about his extreme position,” DeSantis said. “Patrick Murphy hasn’t even said where he stands on funding for Planned Parenthood and I invite him to join the debate.”
