RNC Chair Insists Only Way to Repeal Obamacare is to Elect Mitt Romney

With the Supreme Court upholding most of the federal health-care law on Thursday, Reince Priebus, the chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), insisted that the only option left to repeal the law was by throwing President Barack Obama out in November.

"Today's Supreme Court decision sets the stakes for the November election, Priebus said in a statement released less than an hour after the decision was released. Now, the only way to save the country from ObamaCare's budget-busting government takeover of health care is to elect a new president.

Adam Putnam: Regardless of Ruling, Obamacare Wrong

Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam released the following statement today in response to the ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court.

"Unconstitutional or not, the so-called Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is the wrong policy for reforming health care and the wrong direction for America. Individual liberties and the doctor-patient relationship took a step back today."

Florida Medical Association: Obamacare Ruling will Weaken Medicare

Florida Medical Association President Miguel A. Machado, immediately expressed concern the act will weaken Medicare.

The Florida Medical Association (FMA) believes that health care system in our country should be focused on the needs of individual patients, Machado stated in a release.

The U.S. Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act, including the individual mandates, which the majority of justices declared Congress could impose as a tax.

Chief Justice John Roberts, nominated by former President George W. Bush, sided with the majority.

John Roberts Saves Obama's Health-Care Law

Justices on the Supreme Court of the United States have an odd history of not doing what they are expected to do. After George H. W. Bush appointed David Souter, the justice from New Hampshire turned into a fairly liberal member of the Court. It happens--FDRs choice of Felix Frankfurter did not turn into a liberal justice and Earl Warren certainly was not as conservative as Eisenhower thought he would be.

Connie Mack Bashes Bill Nelson Over Keystone XL Pipeline

Even as gas prices continue to drop across Florida, Republican Senate hopeful U.S. Rep. Connie Mack continues to hammer the Democrat incumbent -- U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson -- for opposing the Keystone XL Pipeline.

Macks latest salvo against Nelson came late Wednesday when the congressman released a statement attacking the senator over the pipeline.

Running in a crowded Republican primary to replace U.S. Rep. Connie Mack, Florida state Rep. Gary Aubuchon, R-Cape Coral, has taken to the airwaves to launch his first commercial of the campaign. Aubuchon does not hammer one of his numerous primary opponents in the new ad. Instead, he focuses on the national debt and pledges to help rein in federal spending if he is elected to Congress.

Pam Bondi: Busted Pill Mill Ring Ran as Modern-Day Drug Cartel

"Pill Street Blues," the name of a yearlong, multi-agency investigation resulted in the closing of a statewide ring of pill mills, the attorney generals office and other state agencies announced Wednesday at the Indian River County sheriffs office.

Attorney General Pam Bondi compared the ring to a modern-day drug cartel on her Facebook page.

Gov. Rick Scott to View Damages from Debby

Gov. Rick Scott will visit areas hit by Tropical Storm Debby on Thursday afternoon.

Scott will visit with residents affected by the storm and the emergency operations center in Suwannee County, according to a release from the governor's office.
