Marco Rubio: 'Time is Running out to Defund Obamacare'
U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., continued to call for defunding President Barack Obamas federal health-care law on Thursday. Rubio sent out an email to supporters on Thursday warning conservatives that time is running out to defund Obamacare and the fall might be the last chance to kill the law.
Things have only gotten worse, Rubio wrote after noting he had been calling for defunding the law for six months. Now all Americans have begun to realize the damaging implications of this disastrous law.

Voters Think Too Many Americans are Dependent on Government
A new Rasmussen Reports poll showed that nearly three-quarters of likely U.S. voters believe too many Americans are dependent on the federal government for financial help.
The poll found 67 percent of American adults think there are too many in this country who are dependent on the government for financial aid -- a number that has risen slightly from 64 percent in September of last year.

Rick Scott Taps Erik Fresen for Southern Regional Education Board
Gov. Rick Scott announced on Tuesday that he appointed Rep. Erik Fresen, R-Miami, to serve on the Board of Control for Southern Regional Education (SREB).
The SREB was created in 1948 as a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that works to improve public education at every level, from pre-K through Ph.D. in the 16 Southern regional states it serves. The board includes the governor and four gubernatorial appointees from each member state, including at least one state legislator and one educator.
