RPOF Links Gwen Graham to Nancy Pelosi
The Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) is taking aim at Democratic congressional hopeful Gwen Graham, trying to link her to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.
Emily Cahn at Roll Call reported late on Wednesday that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) was backing Graham over other candidates who could look to jump in against U.S. Rep. Steve Southerland, R-Fla., including former Florida Senate Democratic Leader Al Lawson who ran for Congress and lost in 2010 and 2012.
Confirmation that Nancy Pelosi's political arm is taking sides in choosing Gwen Graham over other potential Democrats in Florida's 2nd Congressional District comes as no surprise, said RPOF Chairman Lenny Curry, who then reminded voters that Graham worked for liberal Democratic presidential candidates in 2004. Pelosi wants a fellow extreme liberal, who worked for the presidential campaigns of Howard Dean and John Kerry, to join her in Congress and vote for her as speaker of the House. North Floridians know that Gwen Graham will eventually adopt a far-left wing agenda, no matter what she says now."
