Tim Tebow Traded to the New York Jets, Not Jacksonville Jaguars

NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is headed to the New York Jets.

While there had been talk that the Denver Broncos would ship the former University of Florida standout back home to the Sunshine State -- namely his hometown Jacksonville Jaguars -- the quarterback is headed to Gang Green to back up Mark Sanchez.

Tebow (along with a seventh round pick) heads to New York for a fourth round draft pick and a sixth round one. Tebow had been starting in Denver, but with the Broncos signing Peyton Manning earlier in the week, the team could move him.

He took 5 percent in the Louisiana Republican presidential primary back in 2008 and a poll unveiled on Tuesday finds he stands in a distant fourth with 3 percent -- tying him with Rick Perry, who pulled out of the race in January, and Buddy Roemer, the former Louisiana governor who is primarily focused on running for the Reform Party and the Americans Elect nominations.

Newt Gingrich Vows to Remain in GOP Race Until Tampa Convention

Despite placing fourth in the Illinois Republican primary on Tuesday, Newt Gingrich said in a statement on Wednesday that he intends to stay in the race until the Republican convention in Tampa. Gingrich also insisted that Mitt Romney is only leading the race because he was burying his opponents in spending.
