Americans Rate Supreme Court in New Rasmussen Poll

Rasmussen Reports released a poll of likely voters that finds that Americans give the Supreme Court middling marks. A strong plurality -- 44 percent -- of those surveyed think the court is doing a fair job while 25 percent think it is doing a good job and 19 percent think the justices are doing a poor job. Only 3 percent think the Supreme Court is doing an excellent job. The poll of 1,000 likely voters was taken March 13-14 and had a margin of error of +/- 3 percent.

Mitt Romney Crushes Rick Santorum in Puerto Rico

Mitt Romney cruised to an easy win in the Puerto Rican Republican presidential primary on Sunday. With 83 percent, Romney easily bested Rick Santorum -- who had spent considerable time on the island-- who placed a very distant second with 8 percent. Newt Gingrich followed with 2 percent and Ron Paul with 1 percent.

Mitt Romney Leads Rick Santorum in Illinois Rasmussen Poll

On Tuesday, Republicans in Barack Obamas backyard will have their say as Illinois holds its presidential primaries.

A poll of likely Republican primary voters released by Rasmussen Reports on Friday finds Mitt Romney with a solid lead in the Land of Lincoln. Romney takes 41 percent in the poll followed by Rick Santorum with 32 percent, Newt Gingrich with 14 percent and Ron Paul lagging behind with 7 percent.

Mitt Romney Makes His Closing Pitch for Puerto Rico Primary

Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney made his final pitch to Puerto Rico Republicans in an open letter sent out on Friday. Puerto Rico holds its primary -- with 23 delegates at stake -- on Sunday.

Romney played up his support from Gov. Luis Fortu of Puerto Rico and focused on economic issues.

Florida Takes Aim at Underage Drinking on St. Patrick's Day

The state of Florida will be cracking down on underage drinking on St. Patricks Day.

The state Department of Business and Professional Regulation revealed on Thursday that the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco will be visiting bars on Saturday in college towns like Gainesville and Tallahassee, as well as Jacksonville, and at locations inBroward, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, Orange and St. Lucie counties.

Tom Ridge Backs Mitt Romney for President

Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney continued to look to poach Pennsylvania from GOP rival Rick Santorum, who represented the Keystone State for two terms in the U.S. Senate, on Wednesday when he unveiled the support of Tom Ridge.

Besides serving as governor of Pennsylvania, Ridge served as the first secretary of Homeland Security under George W. Bush. Ridge had backed former Gov. Jon Huntsman of Utah earlier in the election cycle.
