U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., is the favorite to be Mitt Romneys running mate according to Paddy Power, the largest bookmaker in Europe, which released odds on the veepstakes on Wednesday morning.

After Romneys sweep of three primary contests in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Wisconsin on Tuesday, Paddy Power is ready to concede the nomination to the former governor of Massachusetts and look to the general election against President Barack Obama.

Mitt Romney: Obama Looks to Blame Others on Gas Prices and Fiscal Issues

With Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney expected to win primaries in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Wisconsin on Tuesday, he tried to focus his fire on President Barack Obama, insisting the Democrat incumbent is looking to reassign blame on energy and fiscal issues.

Appearing on Fox News on Monday night, Romney slammed Obama on energy. The former Massachusetts governor insisted that Obama was looking to duck responsibility for high gas prices.

Ron Paul Supporters Petition for Third Party Bid

Insisting that he has no interest in leaving the GOP, Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul has been downplaying speculation that he would continue his campaign as a third party candidate.

That has not stopped supporters from launching a website urging the maverick Texas congressman to go third party. A group called Grassroots for Liberty is petitioning Paul to go third party -- much like he did in 1988 when he was the Libertarian Partys nominee.

Only 6 Percent of Likely Voters Give Congress High Marks in New Poll

A poll from Rasmussen Reports unveiled on Tuesday shows that Americans have an extremely low opinion of Congress.

The poll of likely voters finds that only 2 percent of those surveyed think Congress is doing an excellent job while 4 percent think it is doing a good job. While 25 percent of those surveyed think that Congress is doing a fair job, 68 percent think its doing a poor job.

Not exactly the numbers that incumbents want to see as November looms on the horizon.

Santorum Holds Small Lead Over Romney in Q-Poll of Pennsylvania

A poll from Quinnipiac University released on Tuesday finds that Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum has a slight lead over Mitt Romney in his home state of Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania holds its primary on April 24, along with four other states in the region.

Mitt Romney Leads Rick Santorum in Another Poll of Wisconsin

With Wisconsin bringing 42 delegates to the Republican convention in Tampa come August, the Badger State ranks as the largest prize on the table on Tuesday. According to a poll released by We Ask America on Monday, Mitt Romney leads in Wisconsin. This is the second poll released on Monday that shows Romney ahead there.

Rick Santorum Slams Mitt Romney in Brutal New Ad

Trailing in Wisconsin, which holds its primary on Tuesday, Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum has a new commercial running in the Badger State attacking Mitt Romney. The TV ad slams Romney on signing a health-care bill in Massachusetts which, the Santorum commercial states, lost the state thousands of jobs and provided abortions with little individual expenses. The ad also slams Romney for backing cap-and-trade and raising taxes.

Ron Paul Turns his Focus to California

With the pack of Republican presidential candidates increasingly focusing on California, which holds its primary on June 5, Ron Pauls team announced over the weekend that their candidate will be hitting the Golden State this week.

Paul will be holding town hall meetings at three universities -- which are increasingly the focus of his campaign. Paul will be at California State University-Chico on Tuesday; UCLA on Wednesday; and UC-Berkeley on Thursday.
