First Coast Heavyweights Back Rob Bradley for State Senate
Former Clay County Commissioner Rob Bradley got a big boost for his bid for a Florida state Senate seat on Wednesday when he won the support of two First Coast Republicans who serve in that chamber -- Sen. Steve Wise of Jacksonville and Sen. John Thrasher of St. Augustine.
Rob is just the candidate to serve the constituents of the newly drawn Senate seat, said Thrasher in a statement. I know Rob will take his local conservative principles to Tallahassee to serve the people of Northeast and north Central Florida with the upmost integrity and transparency. I support Rob in his bid for the Senate.
When I heard Rob was running for the Senate, I was excited for our local communities, said Wise. He is a strong Republican candidate who will look out for our public education system, a key issue that I hold dear for the families of our local communities and our great state. I look forward to seeing him on the campaign trail, and give him my full support.
The seat -- a new one after the redistricting process -- will represent Alachua, Bradford and Clay counties.
