
Herman Cain Adds Ozzie deFaria to His 'Army of Davids'
Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain continues to remain politically active in Florida. On Tuesday, Cain added businessman Ozzie deFaria, who is running in the crowded Republican primary field looking to topple Democrat incumbent U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, to his Army of Davids -- candidates who agree with Cain on tax reform, namely the 9-9-9 plan. Conservative activist Joe Kaufman, who is also running in the GOP primary, was added to the Army of Davids earlier in the month.

Karen Harrington Gets Support of Pro-Life Group
Businesswoman Karen Harrington, who was the Republican nominee that lost out to U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., in 2010 and is angling for a rematch in 2012, announced on Tuesday that she had won the backing of the Susan B. Anthony List, an organization that backs pro-life candidates.

Mitt Romney Catches Up to Obama in Q-Poll of Florida
A poll released by Quinnipiac University on Thursday shows that its close in Florida between President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, the heavy favorite to win the Republican presidential nomination.
The new Q-Poll has Romney taking 44 percent while Obama follows with 43 percent. A similar poll from Quinnipiac, released at the end of March, showed Obama with a solid lead over Romney in Florida, taking 49 percent while the former Massachusetts governor trailed with 42 percent.
