Nugent Backs Harrington to Take on Wasserman Schultz

Freshman U.S. Rep. Rich Nugent announced on Thursday that he was backing fellow Florida Republican Karen Harrington, abusinesswoman who is running for the GOP nomination to challenge U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee.

"It gives me great pleasure to lend my full support to Karen Harrington in her effort to bring conservative principles to Washington, Nugent said on Thursday. Karen's small-business experience along with her pledge to lower taxes and fight the out-of-control spending in Congress makes her the clear choice to help fix Washington. I look forward to working with Karen and together, we can put America back on track."
