Responding to a constituent, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., insisted, when Congress returns to Washington in September, it will be the last chance to stop President Barack Obamas health care law. Rubio has been a vocal champion of defunding the law in recent weeks.

Former U.S. Rep. Allen West weighed in on Tuesday on a murder case in Oklahoma where three teenagers admitted they killed a college athlete from Australia because they were bored. West, who has been very active in hammering President Barack Obama and other liberals for playing up the death of Trayvon Martin while ignoring a bus beating in Pinellas County last month, demanded to know where the president and Hollywood stood on the murder in Oklahoma.

On Tuesday, Gov. Rick Scott announced that PODS Enterprises is expanding its headquarters in Pinellas County, creating 40 new jobs and adding $2.1 million to the local economy.

On Monday, Gov. Rick Scott announced Unipharma, a pharmaceutical company, will move from Venezuela to Tamarac creating 100 jobs and $50 million in new investments.

We are excited to announce that Unipharma has chosen to locate their pharmaceutical headquarters in Broward County, Scott said. Floridas unemployment rate is below the national average and weve created more than 333,000 private-sector jobs since December 2010. The jobs being created by Unipharma are another example that its working in Florida.

U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Fla., is one of the top targets in Florida in 2014 for Republicans and conservatives. The freshman Democrat will be reminded of that on Tuesday when the Florida chapter of Americans for Prosperity will rally at Palm Beach State College before Murphy speaks there at a town hall event.

The Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) is taking aim at the Florida Democrats after Allie Braswell dropped out of the state CFOs race on Monday, only four days after he entered. The RPOF slammed Florida Democrats Chairwoman Allison Tant for backing Braswell before looking at his personal finances which include three bankruptcies.
