Allen West Insists Obama's Policies are Putting Israel in Danger

Former U.S. Rep. Allen West, a favorite of the tea party movement, slammed President Barack Obamas handling of the Middle East on Tuesday.

Are we witnessing the end of Israel? demanded West. While President Obama vacations in Martha's Vineyard, Egypt is descending into apocalyptic chaos and taking the Middle East with it ... the violence is escalating in the Sinai Peninsula. Islamic terrorists are attacking Egyptian security forces; news sources are reporting that 25 policemen were killed just hours ago and firing missiles at the Israeli resort city of Eilat.

Mr. President: is it truly wise to pivot America's foreign policy away from the Middle East? Absolutely not! If Egypt falls to radical Islam, Israel will be besieged by enemies from all sides, West continued. Obama's completely incoherent foreign policy is putting our strongest allies in grave danger. His extreme ambivalence is simply unacceptable.

America stands by her friends Israel most of all and we honor that commitment by our actions and not empty Obama-style rhetoric, West added. What is the world left to think when the same nation that is leading the War on Terror now abandons its own diplomats to be murdered at the hands of a terrorist mob in Libya?

Before the president tees off another round of golf he should consider this his Jimmy Carter-style foreign policy has turned us into the laughingstock of the world, West concluded. Our enemies oppose us and threaten our friends because Obama's leadership lacks true American courage.
