Allen West Marks Rosh Hashanah by Supporting Israel

Wednesday marks Rosh Hashanah, the start of the Jewish new year, and former U.S. Rep. Allen West is using the occassion to support Israel. West, a favorite of the tea party movement, has opened the door to a political comeback in 2016.

For thousands of years, the shofar has called the Jewish people together for many reasons, including ushering in the new year, West posted on Facebook on Wednesday. On this Rosh Hashanah, I pray the shofar will not be needed to sound an alarm of war for the people of Israel.

Steve Southerland Leans Against Military Action in Syria

U.S. Rep. Steve Southerland, R-Fla., said on Tuesday it was highly unlikely he would support military action against the Syrian regime. Southerland noted he had heard from more than 300 constituents on the matter in recent days and 95 percent of them opposed military action.

RPOF Jabs 'Florida's Leading Liberal' Nan Rich on Taxes

Diana Nyad Congratulated By Rick Scott After Cuba-to-Florida Swim

On Tuesday, Gov. Rick Scott called swimmer Diana Nyad to congratulate her on completing her swim from Cuba to Florida.

I thanked Diana today for making Florida a part of her historic milestone, Scott said. She is an inspiration for so many. I told her Florida was proud to be her monumental finish line yesterday. I also asked Diana to consider staying in Florida for a while and even calling our great state home again. Florida is home for many dreamers, entrepreneurs and those that continue to make history just like Diana.

Allen West Slams Obama on Syria and Middle East Issues

Former U.S. Rep. Allen West spent the Labor Day weekend attacking President Barack Obamas handling of the Middle East and questioning whether the U.S. needs to take military action in Syria.

West weighed in on Monday, taking to Facebook to take aim at Republicans -- namely U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. -- who are backing Obamas call for military action.

Dennis Ross Continues to Oppose Military Action in Syria

U.S. Rep. Dennis Ross attended a classified briefing on the situation in Syria on Sunday and said on Monday that he continued to oppose American military action against that nations regime.

"Yesterday, I attended a classified briefing for members of Congress on the assessment of Syria, Ross said on Monday. I join President Obama in strongly condemning the regime's use of chemical weapons against their people. However, the decision to use military force against Bashar al-Assad is one that the president of the United States must seek approval first from Congress.

Allen West Blasts Jesse Jackson and Liberals for Putting Politics Above Black Community

Former U.S. Rep. Allen West ripped civil rights leaders late on Thursday, insisting they turned the 50th anniversary celebration of the March on Washington to a partisan event.

Yesterday on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, head of the National Urban League, Marc Morial, stated that white sheets had been turned into white button-down collar shirts, West posted on Facebook. And Jesse Jackson compared the constitutional conservative grassroots movement, the tea party, to the Confederacy. Really?

Ted Yoho Opposes Military Action Against Syria

From his perch on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, U.S. Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., expressed his opposition to military action against the Syrian regime.

The recent news of the White Houses announcement to possibly take military action in Syria has sent waves throughout our nation, Yoho said on Thursday. While the president aims to intervene in Syrias internal conflict, I maintain that it is neither the role of the United States federal government to do so nor the responsibility of the American taxpayer to fund such an unconstitutional act.
