RPOF Spars With Debbie Wasserman Schultz on Health Care
U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), took aim at Gov. Rick Scott on Tuesday for standing in the way of implementing President Barack Obamas health care law. On Wednesday morning, the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) fired back at Wasserman Schultz.
"If DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is concerned about implementing Obamacare, she should contact her boss at the White House instead of attacking Governor Scott, said RPOF Chairman Lenny Curry. With all of the missteps and delays from the Obama administration, Democratic Senator Max Baucus of Montana was right: implementing Obamacare is a 'train wreck,' and Governor Scott is right to ask questions about it. Instead of attacking Governor Scott, Congresswoman Schultz should applaud him for lowering unemployment for Florida at more than double the rate than the rest of the nation. With the Sunshine State having the second largest drop in unemployment since his inauguration out of all 50 states, Gov. Scott's laser-focus on the economy is something that both President Obama and Congresswoman Schultz should mimic."
