No Comment from David Rivera on Immigration Law Draws Fire from Joe Garcia

A piece in The Hill this weekend on Florida Republicans and their attempts to bring an Arizona-style law on immigration to the Sunshine State reported that Rep. David Rivera, R-Miami, the leading Republican candidate in the race for the seat currently held by U.S. Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart is mum on the proposal.

This prompted a sharp response from Joe Garcia, the leading Democrat in the race.

Alex Sink Runs First TV Ad

State CFO Alex Sink, the overwhelming favorite to be the Democratic gubernatorial candidate, has launched her first TV ad of the campaign. Hoping to take advantage of voters being turned off by the bitter Republican contest between Rick Scott and Attorney General Bill McCollum, Sinks ad features two actors who vaguely resemble the GOP hopefuls bickering with one another while the CFO pledges to fight for Floridians.
