The cost to drive Floridas Turnpike, from Interstate 75 to Homestead, will jump by more than $3 Sunday morning for most SunPass users.

Those paying cash should expect to dole out nearly $4 morethan they currently pay.

Crossing the Sunshine Skyway will require an additional quarter, or for someone driving to and from work five days a week, with four weeks of vacation time, that could mean an additional $120 a year.

Marco Rubio Calls for Eric Holder's Resignation

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., weighed in on Thursday over the firestorm which U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is facing as Congress continues to press him to release documents over the Fast and Furious operation.

Rubio took to Twitter and posted a simple message. It's time for Eric Holder to resign, he wrote.

Despite President Barack Obama invoking executive privilege to prevent Holder from releasing documents, the attorney general faces the possibility of having a contempt vote in the House against him.

Allen West Team Calls Out Bill Maher for 'Racially Charged Smears'

With his name bandied about as a possible running mate for Mitt Romney and a new autobiography just released, a new poll shows that U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., is flying high at the national level -- even as some pundits lower his chances of ending up as the Republican vice presidential candidate.

A national poll of likely voters unveiled on Thursday finds thatRubio is growing increasingly popular at the national level as he enjoys the spotlight from the new book and the buzz his name is generating as a possible running mate for Romney.

A national poll of likely voters finds that U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-FL, is growing increasing popular at the national level.

A poll from Rasmussen Reports finds that 42 percent of those surveyed have a favorable opinion of the freshman senator from the Sunshine State while 31 percent see him in an unfavorable light. Rasmussen took a similar poll in April which showed that 35 percent saw Rubio as favorable and 28 percent as unfavorable.

Scott Still Supports E-Verify, Now as National Policy

Gov. Rick Scott says his position on E-Verify hasnt changed.

Hes just not pursuing the business regulation that has been opposed by business and agricultural interests because he said he doesnt want to put Florida companies at a competitive disadvantage with rival firms in other states and countries.

Scott went on the airwaves in Jacksonville on Thursday to defend his call for a federal immigration policy that includes the requirement that businesses nationwide use the federal visa verifying system to check the legal status of new employees.

Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush Still Listed as VP Contenders

Larry Sabato peered into his Crystal Ball on Thursday and weighed in Mitt Romneys potential running mates. Sabato has reduced his pool of vice presidential prospects from 23 to 11 and he is putting two Floridians on the list. Marco Rubio stands at the bottom of the first tier of contenders and Jeb Bush in the second tier.
