Gwen Graham: A Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean-Style Democrat If Ever the GOP Saw One

While most eyes in the Big Bend were on Tropical Storm Andrea, GOP political operatives in the region were busy defining congressional hopeful Gwen Graham as an all-out liberal Democrat, as far to the left as Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean.

Graham, in pursuit of the Democratic nomination and ultimately Republican Steve Southerland's District 2 congressional seat,continues to portray herself as a moderate Graham Democrat, like her famous father.

Over at The Run, David Catanese makes the argument that Rubio is the favorite for the moment -- but only a slight one. Catanese makes some interesting points, especially in regard to Rubios fundraising supremacy over Rand Paul. Looking at other hopefuls, Catanese rightfully downplays Chris Christies chances while insisting we need to keep an eye on Scott Walker.

Tropical Storm Andrea to Serve Tallahassee Direct Hit

UPDATED:At 5 p.m. Tuesday, Tropical Storm Andrea was bearing down on the state capital, in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico about 35 miles north north-west of Cedar Key, or approximately 80 miles southeast of Tallahassee.

Law enforcement in the capital have asked people to stay off the roads, some of which are flooded and strewn with debris.

New Poll Shows Obama's Health-Care Law Remains Unpopular

An NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released on Thursday finds President Barack Obamas federal health-care law remains very unpopular. Almost a majority of those surveyed -- 49 percent -- say the law is a bad idea, while only 37 percent think it is a good one. This is the largest percentage who have ever said the law is a bad idea since the poll started asking the question back in 2009.

Tom Rooney Insists Bill Will Help Speed Up VA Claims Process

U.S. Rep. Tom Rooney, R-Fla., serves on the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Subcommittee and praised the recent passage of the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs bill which passed 421-4.

In a time of tight budgets, taking care of our nations veterans has to remain our top priority, Rooney, himself a veteran, said on Wednesday. If we dont keep our promises to those who wore the uniform, what would that say about who we are as a country, and how could we expect future generations of Americans to serve?

Allen West: Eric Holder is More Dangerous to America than Al-Qaida Leader

Former Congressman Allen West is turning up the rhetoric as he continues to remain in the spotlight despite his loss to Democrat Patrick Murphy in November.

West took to Facebook on Wednesday and hinted that Attorney General Eric Holder, who is drawing fire for his role in targeting members of the press for investigation, is more dangerous than the leader of al-Qaida.
