Ander Crenshaw Backs Committee to Investigate Benghazi Attacks

U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw, R-Fla., said on Thursday he backed efforts to create a House committee investigating the Benghazi attacks.

No matter how you look at it justice has not been served for the four Americans killed in Benghazi on the night of Sept. 11, 2012, Crenshaw said. The White House can claim all it wants that the questions of this tragic night have been answered. But, that is not so, and this tragic case has long deserved the investigation of a Select Committee.

Rick Scott's Team Hits Charlie Crist on Taxes

Gov. Rick Scotts team continues to fire away at former Gov. Charlie Crist, the favorite for the Democratic nomination to challenge the governor in November despite spending most of his political life as a Republican. The Scott team hit Crist on Thursday for raising taxes by $2.2 billion back in 2009, including raising unemployment insurance by $1,500 per worker.

Rick Scott Responds to Common Core Protesters in Fort Myers

Gov. Rick Scott dove head first into Common Core on Tuesday, speaking with protesters at length over the need for higher standards in the Sunshine State.

The protesters showed up at a "Help Is On The Way!" tax cut tour stopheld at the O'Brien Hyundai in Fort Myers.

ICUF Joins Coalition for College Cost Savings

On Thursday, the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida (ICUF) announced it was joining the national Coalition for College Cost Savings (CCCS) as it looks to reduce costs for its members. CCCS, which represents almost 800 private colleges across the nation with almost 2 million students, is active in 29 states.

Ron Paul: 'Audit the Fed' Bill Co-Sponsored by House Majority

On Wednesday, the Campaign for Liberty, chaired by former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, announced that a majority of members of the U.S. House -- 218 -- are co-sponsoring the Audit the Fed bill for the third consecutive Congress. Paul had been a longtime advocate of auding the Federal Reserve during his time in Congress and his three bids for the presidency. U.S. Rep. Paul Broun, R-Ga., is the chief sponsor of the bill since Paul left Congress in 2012.
