Ted Yoho Wants to Build More Economic Ties to Mongolia

A Florida Republican congressman wants to build economic ties with Mongolia which is located between two major powers in China and Russia. 

This week, U.S. Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., the top Republican on the U.S. House Asia and the Pacific Subcommittee, introduced the “Mongolia Third-Neighbor Trade Act” in the House along with U.S. Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev. On the other side of Capitol Hill, U.S. Sens. Dan Sullivan, R-Alaska, and Ben Cardin, D-Mass., are championing the proposal.

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., is looking for the federal government to crack down on slumlords, and he's got  some bad actors close to home in mind. 

This week, Rubio brought back the “HUD Inspection Process and Enforcement Reform Act" which, he insists, will “improve the federal housing inspection process, hold slumlords accountable for misusing taxpayer dollars and ensure they are not endangering the health and safety of tenants.”

Marco Rubio: Only Licensed Providers Should Conduct Medical Disability Exams for VA

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., wants only licensed health care providers to conduct medical disability examinations (MDEs) on behalf of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Last week, Rubio paired up with U.S. Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., to bring out the “Better Examiner Standards and Transparency for Veterans Act" (BEST for Vets Act) after reports surfaced that physicians with revoked medical licenses were conducting MDEs for the VA.

Florida’s two U.S. senators and a freshman congressman brought out a proposal to ensure the federal government does not work with businesses supporting the Maduro regime in Venezuela. 

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., and U.S. Rep. Michael Waltz, R-Fla., are championing the “Venezuelan Contracting Restriction Act” which, they insist, will “hold Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro accountable by prohibiting federal agencies from doing business with anyone that supports the oppressive Maduro regime.”
