Florida Highway Patrol Ramping Up Operations for Thanksgiving Holiday and FSU-UF Game

Americans are expected to hit the roads for Thanksgiving holiday this week, ensuring record numbers of travelers across the nation. There will be even more travelers in Florida due to the largest college football rivalry in the state being renewed on Saturday as the Florida State Seminoles head to Gainesville to play the Florida Gators.

On Monday, the Florida Highway Patrol announced it would be monitoring highways across the Sunshine State over the holiday, including bringing up reserve troopers from Thursday until Sunday.

C-SPAN Bus Coming to Flagler College

The C-SPAN bus will be coming to the First Coast in early December. On Monday, Flagler College announced the C-SPAN bus will be arriving in front of the Ringhaver Student Center in St. Augustine on Dec. 5.

The C-SPAN bus showcases various C-SPAN shows and website, including the cable stations coverage of the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House.

Pam Bondi Bests George Sheldon and Perry Thurston in New Poll

A new poll from Gravis taken for conservative publication "Human Events" finds Attorney General Pam Bondi starts off with a solid lead over her Democratic rivals as she looks for a second term in 2014 but most voters remain undecided.

Bondi takes 30 percent when matched against House Democratic Leader Perry Thurston, D-Fort Lauderdale, who takes 14 percent, while the remainder of voters are undecided. Bondi takes 29 percent against former Deputy Attorney General George Sheldon who garners 11 percent.
