David Jolly Attacks Alex Sink on Obamacare

Republican congressional hopeful David Jolly took aim at former state CFO Alex Sink on President Barack Obamas federal health-care law on Thursday. Earlier in the day, Obama apologized for the health care law rollout and the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) bashed Sink for supporting the law.

We deserve more than an apology, Ms. Sink, Jolly said. We want answers. And, the fact that you still fully support Obamacare concerns every family that is worried about their health and every American who is upset with Washingtons mediocrity and failure.

I am calling on Alex Sink to tell us she either stands with the presidents defense of the mess that has been Obamacare or with the families of Pinellas she now says she wants to represent. We deserve a member of Congress who not only stands with us, but for telling us the truth, Jolly added. Today we lost confidence in Democratic leadership to solve the Obamacare problem. The Obama-Pelosi team got us into this mess; its nonsense to think the Obama-Pelosi-Sink team can get us out of it.

Jolly is running for the Republican nomination for the seat vacated by the death of his old boss, former U.S. Rep. Bill Young, R-Fla. Sink is seeking the Democratic nomination. The primaries will be held on Jan. 14 and the general election on March 11.
