Nan Rich Gets Support of National Women's Political Caucus

The National Womens Political Caucus of Florida (NWPC/FL) announced on Friday it would back former Florida Senate Democratic Leader Nan Rich for governor in 2014.

Senator Rich has a longstanding history of working for women and womens issues from her time in the Florida House of Representatives as well as during her eight years in the Florida Senate, serving the last two as minority leader, said Beth Lerner, the president of the NWPC/FL. Senator Rich has shown a commitment to womens rights and improving the working class family through progressive legislation. She has never wavered in her commitment to her beliefs; her beliefs are our beliefs.

Im very proud and honored to receive this important endorsement from the National Womens Political Caucus of Florida, Rich said. I have no doubt that women voters can and will be the deciding factor in the outcome of both the Democratic primary and the general election. Women are the caregivers, the mothers, and the grandmothers. We understand the importance of a quality education for our children and we absolutely know that health care for everyone is an absolute priority. Thats why Im counting on women and enlightened men to carry our campaign to victory. Thank you so much for your support and endorsement.
