The law firm representing a coalition of Tea Party groups suing the Florida TEA Party has quit the case, and will file its own suit. Everett Wilkinson, head of the South Florida Tea Party and plaintiff in the lawsuit, said the firm of Quintaros, Prieto, Wood & Boyer will no longer represent his coalition in the pending federal court case.

Health-care executive Rick Scott launched a new ad on Thursday against Attorney General Bill McCollum, his chief rival for the Republican gubernatorial nomination. The ad claims that McCollum voted to raised taxes more than 40 times during his 20 years in Congress.

It looks like the issue of President Barack Obamas birth certificate is not going away any time soon. CNN released a poll that found that 16 percent of all Americans think Obama was probably born in another country and 11 percentthink he definitely was. According to the poll, more than a quarter of Americans think there is a very strong possibility that Obama is constitutionally ineligible to serve as president.
