In the aftermath of Bill Clinton's "conversations" with Kendrick Meek about the U.S. Senate race, theories abound about who knew what, and when they knew it. Here are two observations from Up Nawth:

Conservative activist Gary Bauer, best known for his bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2000 and his leadership of the Family Research Council, offered his take on Gov. Charlie Crist and Bill Clinton trying to get U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek out of the U.S. Senate race. Its a huge gamble with lots of risks for Democrats, wrote Bauer to backers in Florida. So why would Clinton go public now?

Darcy Richardson, a longtime activist and historian who is the running mate for independent gubernatorial candidate Farid Khavari, came out swinging at state CFO Alex Sink. While Republican candidate Rick Scott has spent October hammering Sink for being too close to the Obama administration, Richardson insisted that Sink was nowhere near the mainstream of the Democratic Party.

One irate citizen grabs a sign out of the hands of another irate citizen. Terrifying? Hmmm. You be the judge.

Gubernatorial candidate Rick Scott led a parade of Republican and conservative candidates -- including one possible 2012 presidential hopeful -- at a tea party event on Saturday, making one last pitch to conservative Floridians, encouraging them to get out to vote on Tuesday. While most eyes on the First Coast were fixed on the football game in Jacksonville between the Florida Gators and the Georgia Bulldogs, Scott told a cheering crowd of around 1,500 in Middleburg, in Clay County, that they had changed America by standing up against government spending.

Somebody throw U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson a very long rope. He's in a hole the size of a lunar crater. According to Florida Division of Elections records, the bombastic Democrat has to find some kind of unearthly rocket in that space suit of his or he's going nowhere. Finished in CD 8. Here's the problem. In CD 8, as of late Friday, 26,000 Republicans have already voted absentee; the number for Democrats is 20,000. In the early-voting column, 15,000 Republicans and 10,000 Democrats have early-voted.

Brian Moore, who ran against Alex Sink in the Democratic gubernatorial primary taking more than 20 percent of the vote, said Bill Clinton had the right idea in trying to get Democratic nominee U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek to drop out of the U.S. Senate race to back Gov. Charlie Crist, who is running without party affiliation. "Former President Clinton has made it clear that Kendrick Meek cannot and will not win this race, said Moore on Friday. It is time for the congressman to step aside for the good of our state and our nation.Too much is at stake in this election.

Conservative former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania launched a web video on Friday trying to bring out Republican voters. Despite losing his seat in 2006, Santorum increasingly looks like a possible candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012 and this video will only increase the buzz.

Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour increasingly looks like a potential candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012. Barbours Haleys PAC sent out more than $440,000 to Republicans across the country for the 2010 election cycle including backing candidates and the Republican parties in all 37 states where there is a gubernatorial election.

Former Gov. George Pataki of New York announced on Thursday that he would be leading a massive get-out-the-vote operation this weekend, targeting five U.S. Senate races and 100 congressional races across the nation.

As the final weekend before the election begins, Republican attorney general candidate Pam Bondi has compiled a list of the groups and political leaders who endorsed her bid and thanked them. The attorney general is a position of great responsibility, and I am greatly honored these people have placed their faith in me to become Floridas next chief legal officer, said Bondi. If elected, I look forward to bringing my 18 years of experience as a prosecutor to protect Floridas children and families, our constitutional rights, and our consumers on a statewide level.
