Pushing Repeal of Obamacare, George Pataki Tries to Get Out the Vote
Former Gov. George Pataki of New York announced on Thursday that he would be leading a massive get-out-the-vote operation this weekend, targeting five U.S. Senate races and 100 congressional races across the nation.
Pataki, a possible candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, had made repealing new federal health-care laws backed by President Barack Obama the centerpiece of his actions. His activities will be through Revere America, an organization Pataki heads up. Revere America has circulated petitions calling for the repeal of the laws and has gained more than a million signatures.
The American people have made their concern known over this law and they will deliver a clear message on Nov. 2, said Pataki. People feel like they have been handed an unworkable system they neither trust nor understand. We will remind voters to hold their congressmen and senators accountable.
