AT&T Mobility customers who were charged for roadside assistance plans without their consent will get some of their money back, the attorney generals office announced Friday. And from now on, AT&T Mobility will be required to use text messages to confirm when a service is added to the cell phone, with an option offered for the customer to easily cancel the service.

Florida-based tea party activist Everett Wilkinson is recruiting state chairmen for a possible independent presidential bid by Donald Trump. Wilkinson, founder of the South Florida Tea Party, said in an emailthat Trump had asked him to find a tea party chairmen by next week for a potential third-party run. Trump, who was not available, has not publicly indicated his latest political plans. He has suggested he would run for president several times, including this year.

Flags will be at half-staff Friday at the Capitol, county courthouse of Hillsborough and the city hall of Tampa for Pvt. First Class Jalfred D. Vaquerano. Vaquerano, 20, a graduate of Forest Lake Academy in Apopka, died Dec. 13 from wounds sustained fighting in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Vaquerano, who was assigned to D Company, 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Division in Fort Bliss, Texas, died at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany.

Saying the Republican Party's "primary process was not fair and open," Gary Johnson announced Wednesday that he will seek the Libertarian Party nomination for president. "Frankly, I have been deeply disappointed by the treatment I received in the Republican nomination process. I had hoped to lay out a real libertarian message on all the issues in the Republican contest. The process was not fair and open," the former New Mexico governor said in a statement.
