RPOF Adds to Its Communications Team
On the eve of the 2012 election year, the Republican Party of Florida has made changes among its communications staff, promoting Kristen McDonald and adding Dan Dawson.
Here is the party's announcement:
"Kristen McDonald, who was serving as a communications assistant, will now be RPOFs press secretary. In early 2011, McDonald completed a six-month internship in the communications office of Gov. Rick Scott. In July, McDonald joined RPOF as an assistant in the partys communications operation. McDonald is a cum laude graduate of Florida State University with a bachelors degree in political science. She earned a masters degree in applied American politics and policy this August. As press secretary she will work with the communications director to develop RPOFs strategic messaging and will serve as a spokeswoman for the party.
"Dan Dawson joins the RPOF staff as new media director. Previously, he served on Jeff Atwaters successful CFO campaign as his travel aide and new media director. Following the CFOs victory, Dawson started his own consultancy business. In 2011, he was hired to run the war room in Orlando for the 'Huntsman for President' campaign. Dawson graduated from Florida State University with dual bachelors degrees in finance and entrepreneurship and received a masters in applied American politics and policy. In his new role, Dawson will develop video and multimedia content for a variety of social networking platforms to share RPOFs vision for Florida."
The RPOF office is closed until Tuesday, Jan. 3.
