According to a poll released by We Ask America on Monday, Mitt Romney leads in Wisconsin. This is the second poll released on Monday that shows Romney ahead there.

While pump prices across Florida already show that many vendors are selling gas above the $4 a gallon mark, the average gallon of gas in the Sunshine State now stands at $3.93. The amount is up 3 cents from a week ago, 14 cents from a month ago. AAA projects Florida -- which is a penny higher than the national average -- will top the $4 mark in April, but not this week. Already, 11 states are above the $4 mark, with Maryland, Nevada, Wisconsin and West Virginia due to hit the mark this week, according to AAA.

Trailing in Wisconsin, which holds its primary on Tuesday, Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum has a new commercial running in the Badger State attacking Mitt Romney. The TV ad slams Romney on signing a health-care bill in Massachusetts which, the Santorum commercial states, lost the state thousands of jobs and provided abortions with little individual expenses. The ad also slams Romney for backing cap-and-trade and raising taxes.

With the pack of Republican presidential candidates increasingly focusing on California, which holds its primary on June 5, Ron Pauls team announced over the weekend that their candidate will be hitting the Golden State this week. Paul will be holding town hall meetings at three universities -- which are increasingly the focus of his campaign. Paul will be at California State University-Chico on Tuesday; UCLA on Wednesday; and UC-Berkeley on Thursday.

Wisconsin holds a primary on Tuesday and a new poll shows that Mitt Romney has a solid lead over Rick Santorum in the Badger State. A poll of likely primary voters from Public Policy Polling, a firm with connections to prominent Democrats, shows Romney leading with 43 percent followed by Santorum with 36 percent. Ron Paul stands in third with 11 percent followed by Newt Gingrich in single digits with 8 percent. The poll of 609 likely Wisconsin Republican primary voters was taken March 31-April 1 and had a margin of error of +/- 4 percent.

With Maryland holding its Republican presidential primary on Tuesday, a poll unveiled on Monday shows that Mitt Romney is headed to a big win in the Old Line State. A poll from Public Policy Polling, a firm with connections to prominent Democrats, shows Romney is set to win with 52 percent followed by Rick Santorum with 27 percent. Newt Gingrich stands in third with 10 percent followed by Ron Paul with 9 percent.

The Department of Homeland Security and its Immigration and Customs Enforcement office is getting an "indefinite delivery" of an "indefinite quantity" of .40 caliber ammunition from defense contractor ATK, a new report says. U.S. agents will receive a maximum of 450 million rounds of high-performance HST bullets that offer "optimum penetration for terminal performance," the Business Insider reports. DHS also has an open bid for a stockpile of rifle ammo, similar to rounds used by NATO forces.

House Democratic Leader-designate Perry Thurston, D-Plantation, wants the task force to review the states Stand Your Ground law to include members of the law enforcement community, prosecutors, public defenders and even sitting or retired members of the judiciary. And, Thurston adds, the appointments need to be made now. "I believe the task force should have begun by now," Thurston stated in a letter to Gov. Rick Scott on Friday.

Appearing on Anderson Cooper's AC360 on CNN Thursday night, an eyewitness to the Trayvon Martin killing said that George Zimmerman appeared to walk away from the scuffle uninjured but, "very worried." The man who watched from his townhouse cast more doubt on Zimmerman's self-defense claim. In the spotlight this week, Zimmerman's friends and family have been vouching for his character, and his father and defense attorney have talked continuously about Zimmerman's injuries during the incident.

Gov. Rick Scott appointed Scott Stewart as interim secretary at the Department of Management Services, replacing Jack Miles who announced he was resigning from the $140,000-a-year post in February. Stewart currently serves as assistant secretary for administration at the Department of Children and Families.

Floridas unemployment rate dropped to its lowest mark since February 2009, as the number dipped 0.2 percent between January and February, according to the state Department of Economic Opportunity. The seasonally adjusted unemployment mark for the Sunshine State stood at 9.4 percent for February, representing 869,000 Floridians listed as jobless. In January, 894,000 were listed as unemployed out of Florida's work force of 9.3 million. More to come.
