Todd asked Crist, "What can we do to bring more transparency to state parties and state government?" I have reviewed key findings associated with recent audits of FSCJ and am concerned that lack of management and financial oversight has hurt students at the college, Scott wrote to the Florida Times-Union this weekend.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott will be meeting with some media bigwigs and appearing on Fox News while in New York today. Scott expected to focus on jobs and the economy while on "Your World" with Neil Cavuto at 4:15 p.m. Before the interview, the governor is scheduled to meet separately with Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes and Fox political commentator Dana Perino. After the Fox News appearance, Scott is scheduled to meet with Rich Lowry, editor of the conservative National Review, and have dinner with CNBC anchor Joe Kernen at Campagnola Restaurant.

Entering the final month of a two-year voter education campaign, Restore Justice 2012 released a video Mondayhighlighting the decision by the Florida Supreme Court to give a confessed murderer a new trial. Gov. Rick Scott will be in Gainesville Saturday morning lending support to the search efforts to find University of Florida student Christian Aguilar, according to the governors office. Gainesville Police charged Pedro Andres Bravo with first-degree murder late Friday afternoon in Aguilars disappearance. His body has not been recovered.

The Republican Party executive committees from both Osceola and Polk counties expect to whittle a list of 18 applicants to take Rep. Mike Horners place in the House District 42 contest to five later today. The committees expect to be able to name the new candidate by Saturday afternoon after private one-on-one interviews at the Omni Hotel in Champions Gate, said Danny Sexton, chairman of the Osceola County Republican executive committee. Im extremely confident from the 18 that there is someone we can agree upon, Sexton said.

Florida State University says it doesn't need Digital Domain Media Group (DDMG) to launch its new digital animation major this semester -- even though the university spent 18 months in routine meetings with the bankrupt animation studio to prepare for the launch. It's going ahead with the plan anyway, relocating a class of students to its new home in West Palm Beach.

Gov. Rick Scott will be at a fish hatchery in the Central Florida community of Webster on Thursday for his 13th Lets Get to Work day. Scott is scheduled to be at Richloam Fish Hatchery, a state-of-the-art facility that produces more than 2 million fish each year to stock Floridas public waters, at 9 a.m., according to a release from the governors office. Scott is to collect fish from outdoor ponds with biologists and performing lab work.
