Trial lawyers sure do love Charlie Crist. At least that's what Friday's fundraising numbers seemed to suggest. The fundraising committee "Charlie Crist for Florida" posted its fundraising numbers, and the committee raised $872,000 in its first 12 days. Over half of those donations -- $484,000 -- came from donors listed as attorneys or law firms. Crist is currently employed by big-time trial lawyer John Morgan, who is expected to start raising serious cash around the country for the gubernatorial candidate.

Driving may get a little less hands-on in the Sunshine State, according to experts from the Florida Department of Transportation. The experts gathered Thursday and said Floridians could see widespread use of automated cars in the next decade or so due to advances in computer software, GPS systems and sensors. According to the Tampa Bay Times, the FDOT is gathering with the University of South Florida's Center for Urban Transportation Research and other groups to host the first ever Florida Automated Vehicles Summit to get driverless cars on the road in Florida.

A new poll from Gravis taken for conservative publication "Human Events" finds Attorney General Pam Bondi starts off with a solid lead over her Democratic rivals as she looks for a second term in 2014 but most voters remain undecided. Bondi takes 30 percent when matched against House Democratic Leader Perry Thurston, D-Fort Lauderdale, who takes 14 percent, while the remainder of voters are undecided. Bondi takes 29 percent against former Deputy Attorney General George Sheldon who garners 11 percent.

A new poll from Gravis taken for the conservative publication "Human Events" finds former Gov. Charlie Crist has a solid lead over Republican Gov. Rick Scott. The poll finds Crist taking 46 percent while Scott is behind with 36 percent. The poll shows Scott remains upside down in Florida. A majority of those surveyed -- 52 percent -- do not approve of Scott while 33 percent approve of him. The poll of 932 registered voters in Florida was taken from Nov. 8-11 and had a margin of error of +/- 3 percent.
