Obama's Fundraising Trips Cost Taxpayers $6 Million
The Democrats' uber-fundraiser, President Barack Obama, has flown more than 20,000 miles raising dollars for Democrats so far in 2013.
And, those Air Force One miles havent come cheap. An analysis by The Guardian shows the fundraiser-in-chiefs trips have cost American taxpayers $6 million.
Attending more than 30 fundraisers since April, Obama has collected $40 million for Democrats for next years midterm elections. The president is looking to take control of Congress in order to push through his agenda items that have been blocked by the Republican-controlled House.
In comparison, during the same period in office, President George W. Bush attended 11 fundraising events; Ronald Reagan gave his star power to 10; and even Bill Clinton only appeared at 18.
