The Congressional Leadership Fund, a super-PAC looking to ensure Republicans keep the U.S. House, went after U.S. Rep. Joe Garcia, D-Fla., for opposing creating a House committee to investigate the Obama administrations handling of the Benghazi attacks in September 2012 in which four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, were killed. Garcia is a top target for Republicans in November with major candidates, including Miami Dade School Board member Carlos Curbelo and former U.S. Rep. David Rivera, R-Fla., running for the GOP nomination.
