RPOF Chairman John Thrasher Takes a Side -- and It's Not for Rick Scott

Clearly, there's no love lost between the Republican Party of Florida and gubernatorial candidate Rick Scott.

RPOF Chairman John Thrasher issued a stinging e-mail Sunday evening, accusing Scott of orchestrating "a multifaceted campaign of misinformation in an effort to mislead Florida voters and confuse the facts surrounding the arrest and indictment of Jim Greer as well as the partys financial situation and preparedness to support our candidates as we move toward the November election."

Meeks wife, Leslie, attended church services on Sunday with Grace Nelson, the wife of U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson. Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, best known for his stint as DNC chairman and his 2004 presidential campaign, wrote Democrats on Sunday, urging them to rally behind Meek.

Dem AG Candidate Dan Gelber Hits Early Election Sites

Despite the muggy weather, Sen. Dan Gelber of Miami Beach, in a tight battle with Sen. Dave Aronberg of Greenacres, campaigned on Monroe Street on Tallahassee on Saturday, across from the Capitol. Surrounded by family, campaign staff and volunteers, Gelber waved at passing cars, shook the hands of early voters and led a round of cheers at passing cars with his bumper stickers.

Its an extra opportunity to get to the voters, said Christian Ulvert, Gelbers campaign manager, who emphasized the importance of having the candidate at an early voting event.

Brian Moore wants Bud Chiles as his Running Mate for Lt. Gov.

Brian Moore, who is running in the Democratic gubernatorial primary as a heavy underdog against state CFO Alex Sink, said on Saturday that he will ask independent gubernatorial candidate Bud Chiles to serve as his running mate in the unlikely event he wins the primary on Tuesday.
