Florida Rep. Paige Kreegel, R-Punta Gorda, has refocused his congressional efforts by filing to run for the 14th District seat held by U.S. Rep. Connie Mack, R-Naples, on Monday.
Kreegel, a family doctor who is term-limited from seeking re-election to the state House, had previously been listed as a candidate for Floridas 16th District seat held by U.S. Rep. Tom Rooney, R-Tequesta.
The 16th District is expected to be centered on northern Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast through the Legislature's once-a-decade redistricting process.

Two weeks away from the Presidential Preference Primary, Mitt Romney holds a commanding lead over the Republican presidential pack in Florida, according to a Sunshine State News Poll of likely primary voters.
Romney tops the poll, which was conducted by Harrisburg, Pa.-based Voter Survey Service (VSS), with 46 percent. When he ran in the 2008 primary, Romney placed second in Florida, taking 31 percent and winning 18 of the 67 counties in the Sunshine State.
