Dan Gelber Encourages Charlie Crist to Embrace the Big ‘D’
As speculation grows that Floridas former Republican/independent governor Charlie Crist slinks closer to taking the plunge into running again for the office, former state senator Dan Gelber isnt waiting.
Now that Crist has endorsed U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Orlando, Gelber --a Democrat from Miami Beach --writes in a column for Florida Voices, Charlie, welcome to the party!
Gelber also argues for his party to embrace Republicans and independent voters who are no longer comfortable with the GOPs rigid and extreme dogma.

Rick Scott Makes Four Judicial Nominating Commission Appointments
Gov. Rick Scott has appointed Diidri W. Robinson to the 7th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, and Pamela E. Langham, Thomas F. Gonzalez and Lennard B. Register III to the 1st Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
Diidri W. Robinson, 32, of Saint Johns, has been an assistant United States attorney for the Middle District of Florida since 2011.
Succeeding Danny Berenberg, Robinsons term is through July 1, 2016.
