Gov. Rick Scott said because he has two accounts, his emails were inadvertently left off the states new public information webpage and sometime soon the public should be able to see his electronic correspondence.

I understand how it happens, there are two separate email accounts, but they made a mistake, Scott said Wednesday of the omission of all of his email accounts from the three-month-old Sunburst system.

He added that work has already started to correct the mistake, but no timeline was available for when all his accounts would be available.

Rick Scott Will Give Florida School Board His Input on Replacing Gerard Robinson

Gov. Rick Scott continued his praise of Gerard Robinson on Wednesday, a day after the head of the Florida Department of Education gave a month's notice that he was returning to Virginia.

Scott, speaking after an appearance at a Florida Health Care Association conference at the Hilton Orlando, maintained he was surprised and disappointed in Robinsons abrupt resignation.But Scott added that he doesnt believe any change in leadership will impact the ongoing drive to overhaul the states Pre-K-12 system.

Bill Nelson and Connie Mack Running Tight in New PPP Poll

Public Policy Polling (PPP), a firm with connections to prominent national Democrats, released a poll on Wednesday showing that Democrat incumbent U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson can expect a fight in Florida from likely Republican challenger U.S. Rep. Connie Mack.

The poll of likely Florida voters shows Nelson taking 45 percent while Mack is right behind him within the margin of error at 43 percent. A poll of likely Florida voters taken by Quinnipac University released earlier in the day showed Nelson taking 47 percent with Mack following with 40 percent.

Obama Leads Mitt Romney in Florida in New Q-Poll

Quinnipiac University, CBS News and the New York Times released polls of three key states -- Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania -- on Wednesday. And in all of those electoral battlegrounds, President Barack Obama is taking 50 percent or more over former Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts, the presumptive Republican candidate.

Gerard Robinson Out After One Year as Head of Florida Education

Gerard Robinson, who took over the state Department of Education last summer and would take some flak over a dramatic drop in school test grades, has submitted his resignation effective at the end of August.

Hired away from his post as Virginia's secretary of education, Robinson pointed to time away from his family for his decision in his resignation letter that also listed highlights of the state education system during the past year.

Living away from my family has proven to be one challenge all this progress could not overcome, Robinson wrote Gov. Rick Scott on Tuesday.
