‘No Feud,’ but No Agreement with Legislators on Mortgage Settlement Money

Attorney General Pam Bondi is adamant that there is no feud between her and legislators over Floridas share of a national mortgage servicing settlement.

But the two sides dont appear to be budging over how the money, totaling around $334 million, should be spent.

Bondi, addressing the media following the Florida Cabinet meeting in the Capitol on Tuesday, disagreed with any contention that she and legislators are fighting over the settlement.

Don’t Expect Any Primary Robocalls from Rick Scott

Gov. Rick Scott says he has remained out of the primary frays and intends, at least for now, to keep it that way.

While Sen. Jack Latvala, R-St. Petersburg, and Sen. Joe Negron, R-Stuart, battle for a future Senate presidency through backing key primary campaigns across the state, the governor said Tuesday he has no plans to take sides.

Jennifer Carroll Still Rick Scott's 2014 Running Mate

Gov. Rick Scott defended his lieutenant governor and sees no reason right now to seek a new running mate in 2014.

When asked during a media conference in his Capitol office on Tuesday if he intended to again run with Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll, Scott questioned the enquiry.

Shes done a great job, why wouldn't I? Scott replied.

Second Round of GOP Convention Speakers Includes Jeb Bush, Rick Santorum and Rand Paul

Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), unveiled on Tuesday the second round of speakers who will address the GOP convention in Tampa later this month -- a lineup that now includes former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

Priebus announced that besides Bush, Gov. Mary Fallin of Oklahoma, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania will speak to the convention.

Rich Nugent and Dennis Ross Back Sandy Adams Over John Mica

U.S. Rep. Sandy Adams is battling U.S. Rep. John Mica in the Republican primary next Tuesday for a congressional seat in Central Florida. On Tuesday, Adams unveiled the support of two fellow congressional freshmen from the Sunshine State -- U.S. Rep. Rich Nugent and U.S. Rep. Dennis Ross.

While both Nugent and Ross praised Adams, neither of them took aim at Mica on Tuesday.

Rick Scott: GOP Convention Speech to Focus on Florida as 'Model for the Country'

A day after it was announced that Gov. Rick Scott would be among the speakers at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, his speech is a long way from being written.

But during an appearance on WCOA 1370-AM in Pensacola on Tuesday morning, Scott said -- as one would expect -- the topic will center on Floridas economy since he took office in 2011.
