Rick Scott Signs Death Warrant for John Errol Ferguson

Governor Rick Scott signed a warrant Wednesday instructing Florida Prison Warden John Palmer to carrying out of the death sentence of John Errol Ferguson on Oct. 16 at 6 p.m.
Ferguson, 64, was convicted on eight counts of first degree murder and sentenced to death for his role in a 1977 Dade County home invasion in which six people were killed.

Rick Scott Announces 2012-2013 Gubernatorial Fellows

Governor Rick Scott announced the 12 members of the eighth class of the Gubernatorial Fellows Program who will spend at least 20 hours a week gaining first-hand experience in state government.
I applaud these students for their outstanding academic, leadership and service-oriented accomplishments, Scott stated in a release. This program will provide them with on-the-job leadership training for successful careers in the public or private sector.

Republican-turned-independent Charlie Crist, the former Florida governor speculated to be calculating his prospects of returning to the Governors Mansion, will take the stage at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina on Thursday.
But he wont be getting a chance to give his remarks outside at Bank of America Stadium, as it was announced Wednesday that Thursday nights events will be moved indoors, into the Time Warner Arena, because of pending threatening weather.
