Florida Chamber Backs Jeff Brandes, Tom Lee, Bill Galvano for Senate
The Florida Chamber of Commerce has released its latest endorsements heading into the general election.
For Senate:
District 22: Jeff Brandes, R-St. Petersburg
District 24: Tom Lee, R-Brandon
District 26: Bill Galvano, R- Bradenton
For House:
District 7: Halsey Beshears, R-Monticello
District 59: Ross Spano, R-Dover
District 69: Kathleen Peters, R-South Pasadena
District 82: MaryLynn Magar, R-Tequesta
District 97: Jared E. Moskowitz, D-Fort Lauderdale
District 104: Richard Stark, D-Weston
District 112: Alex Diaz de la Portilla, R-Miami
In the Senate contests, Brandes has only a write-in challenge remaining to advance to Senate.
Lee, the former Senate president, is being challenged by Democrat Elizabeth Belcher, a retired law enforcement officer from Seffner.
Galvano, a former state representative, goes up against Democrat Paula House, an attorney and activist who had stints as a journalist and a teacher. She also once led the Highlands County Democratic Party.
