Deferring a final decision until July, Gov. Rick Scott says he is reviewing the costs of building the SunRail commuter line in Central Florida.

Freshman Republican U.S. Rep. David Rivera is ranked as one of the most vulnerable congressional incumbents come 2012 due to ethics questions. Busy morning for the National Republican Senate Committee (NRSC) -- not to mention the Joe of Morning Joe fame. First reports came out that the NRSC was looking to recruit former U.S. Rep. Joe Scarborough to run against Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson in 2012. But those rumors were quickly shot down. Scarborough now hosts Morning Joe on MSNBC.

Protests continue, but Gov. Scott Walker and the Wisconsin GOP on Thursday prevailed against the wearying weeks-long combination of heavy union pressure and a Democratic walkout in the state Senate. The Assembly voted 53-42 to approve a bill that sharply slashes bargaining rights for government workers. The bill moved like lightning to a relieved Walker, who promised to sign it as soon as he's able.
