Eric Draper: I Am NOT Running for Ag Commissioner
Bad Rumor Report:
In December, I repeated a Tampa Bay Times story that Audubon of Florida Executive Director Eric Draper is considering a run for commissioner of agriculture on the Democratic ticket in 2014.
But I caught up with Eric on another matter on Friday. He emphatically wanted me to know -- and tell the world -- that he is NOT running for Adam Putnam's job.

Oh, My! PolitiFact's Damaging 'Lie of the Year' Turns Out to Be True
PolitiFact, fact-checking vehicle of the liberal Tampa Bay Times, awarded its No. 1 "pants on fire" of 2012 to Republican Mitt Romney (of course -- PolitiFact's 'Lie of the Year' awards invariably go to Republicans). Romney said Jeep was moving its U.S. production to China.

Sorry, Boys Town, Bill Nelson Never Gave Your Coin Bill a Chance
Since re-election, Bill Nelson has been doing what Bill Nelson does best: file pointless bills and keep quiet about them, hoping no one will notice.

Last Friday? Why? It's all over for the 112th Congress.

Rifles Don't Kill as Many People as Hammers and Clubs, Says FBI
Anti-gun folks aren't going to like this, but facts are facts. These come from the FBI via Breibart.com and Fox Nation.
Seems more people are killed with hammers and clubs each year than with rifles. By far.

Rasmussen: 'Public Evenly Divided on Fiscal Cliff Deal'
Independent pollster Scott Rasmussen says voters are evenly divided in their views of the last-minute fiscal cliff deal reached by President Obama and Congress.
But he says very few expect government spending to go down as a result; and one out of two predicts taxes on the middle class will go up.

Political Consultant and Sartorialist Roger Stone on Year's Best and Worst Dressed
Here's some respite for Tallahassee and Washington watchers temporarily fed up with post-election politics:
"StoneZone's Sixth Annual Ten Best and Worst Dressed Men and Women in the World for 2012"(Huffington Post). Definitely a nonpartisan undertaking.
Trust dapper Roger Stone, indeed a legendary American Republican political consultant, to suck us so engagingly into his second (or is it his first?) greatest passion, sartorial elegance.
