Eric Draper: I Am NOT Running for Ag Commissioner

Bad Rumor Report:

In December, I repeated a Tampa Bay Times story that Audubon of Florida Executive Director Eric Draper is considering a run for commissioner of agriculture on the Democratic ticket in 2014.

But I caught up with Eric on another matter on Friday. He emphatically wanted me to know -- and tell the world -- that he is NOT running for Adam Putnam's job.

"It's not happening," he said. "People keep stopping and asking me. I'm telling you, I'm not running."
