Roll Call reported on Friday that incoming U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio will be giving the Republicans' radio response to President Barack Obama on Saturday. The move shows how highly regarded Rubio is by the Republican leadership -- allowing him to respond to the president after the GOPs big win on Tuesday.

Randall Terry, best known for his time with Operation Rescue and his role in the Teri Schiavo case, is taking aim at the new Republican majority in Congress. Terry, who ran against the late Senate President Jim King in the Republican primary for state Senate on the First Coast, has been active in Washington as the campaign manager for Missy Smith, the Republican candidate who challenged D.C. congressional Democrat Eleanor Holmes Norton.

'Fire Karen Thurman' Website Created

Its not just Sen. Jeremy Ring, D-Margate, calling for Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman Karen Thurmans scalp.

Peter Schorsch, best known for his service as the executive editor of St. Petersblog, has created a website demanding Thurmans removal after the elections Tuesday -- when Democrats lost four congressional seats, the gubernatorial race, were blown away in the battle for the three other Cabinet posts and became completely irrelevant in the Legislature as the Republicans gained veto-proof majorities.

Rick Scott: 'I Didn't Do This to Go Down Somebody Else's Path'

During a press conference this morning where Rick Scott announced his transition team, a reporter asked if he'd been in touch with Charlie Crist.

"We've traded phone calls," Scott said. "He called me right after I did my victory speech and then I called him back. But my voicemail's been full."

The reporter followed up by asking him what advice he might seek from the lame-duck governor.
