On Tuesday, Reince Priebus, the chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), unveiled the second round of speakers who will address the GOPs convention in Tampa later this month. U.S. Rep. Sandy Adams is battling U.S. Rep. John Mica in the Republican primary next Tuesday for a congressional seat in Central Florida. On Tuesday, Adams unveiled the support of two fellow congressional freshmen from the Sunshine State -- U.S. Rep. Rich Nugent and U.S. Rep. Dennis Ross. While both Nugent and Ross praised Adams, neither of them took aim at Mica on Tuesday.

Florida consumers who bought a TV, monitor or notebook computer that contained a TFT-LCD flat panel screen may be eligible for a share of $1.1 billion in settlements. Attorney General Pam Bondi is encouraging consumers potentially eligible for a share of the multistate settlements involving price-fixing of LCD panels to file claims starting Wednesday. The deadline to file is Dec. 6.

Gov. Rick Scott has appointed Diidri W. Robinson to the 7th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, and Pamela E. Langham, Thomas F. Gonzalez and Lennard B. Register III to the 1st Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Diidri W. Robinson, 32, of Saint Johns, has been an assistant United States attorney for the Middle District of Florida since 2011. Succeeding Danny Berenberg, Robinsons term is through July 1, 2016.

Rick Scott to ceremonially ink the nations newest spaceport. Gov. Rick Scott will hold a ceremonial bill-signing on Saturday designating Cecil Field as the nations eighth spaceport. Cecil Field was designated a spaceport by the federal government in 2010. The designation allows launch vehicles to make horizontal takeoffs and landings on site. The state bill, HB 59, offers companies involved in spaceport activities at Cecil Field the chance of tax exemptions on equipment purchases.

Scott will be at Staples, 7500 West Commercial Blvd. in Lauderhill around 11:30 a.m. before heading down the street to the Childrens Services Council of Broward County for a school supply drop. The three-day event begins at 12:01 a.m. Friday and ends at midnight Sunday.
