Pam Bondi Encourages LCD Screen Buyers to File Claims; $1.1 Billion in the Mix
Florida consumers who bought a TV, monitor or notebook computer that contained a TFT-LCD flat panel screen may be eligible for a share of $1.1 billion in settlements.
Attorney General Pam Bondi is encouraging consumers potentially eligible for a share of the multistate settlements involving price-fixing of LCD panels to file claims starting Wednesday.
The deadline to file is Dec. 6.
The states had alleged the companies conspired to prevent competition and increase prices for TFT-LCD panels, the most common form of LCD panels used in popular electronic devices.
