Election Night results will be available at http://enight.elections.myflorida.com/. All results will be preliminary until Saturday, when the unofficial results are reported. A recount cannot be ordered until the unofficial results are reported. A machine recount is ordered when the statewide results are within half a percent, and if the results after the machine recount are within a quarter, a hand recount will take place, but only to review the over and under votes.

Gov. Rick Scott has appointed Joseph L. Caruncho and Robert W. Stork to the Florida Polytechnic University board of trustees. Caruncho, 54, of Miami, is CEO of Preferred Care Partners. Hes served on the Florida International Universitys board of trustees, Foundation board, College of Business Deans Council, and Center for Leadership Advisory Council. Stork, 60, of Vero Beach, is the CEO of Communications International Inc. He serves on the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council and the Florida Technology, Research, and Scholarship board.

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Thursday that Judge Leandra G. Johnson of the 3rdJudicial Circuit Court of Floridahas sentenced Dr. Yong Am Park, 68, to two years inprison for Medicaid fraud and prescription drug-related charges. Park was convicted of three counts of Medicaid fraud, five counts ofprescription fraud, two counts of unauthorized possession of a prescriptionform, one count of scheme to defraud, and one count of selling a controlledsubstance.

Rick Scott has signed the death warrant for former South Florida police officer Manuel Pardo, who was convicted of killed nine drug dealers and informers in 1986 whom Pardo claimed have no right to live. The state argued that Pardo, an officer with Sweetwater, and a co-defendant were also dealing drugs and the execution-style murders were simply a means to eliminate the competition.
