Florida Hospital CEO Lars Houmann to Chair Florida Chamber Board

Lars Houmann, president and CEO of Florida Hospital and the Florida Division of Adventist Health System, has been elected chair of the Florida Chamber board of directors for 2012-2013.

Houmann, whose term begins Nov. 1, replaces Chairman Anthony Connelly, senior vice president and CFO of Walt Disney Parks & Resort, U.S.

Lars Houmann brings the perfect balance of experience and vision in support of the Florida Chambers efforts to champion free-enterprise principles and solutions toward securing Floridas future, Chamber President Mark Wilson stated in a release.

As we work to grow the private sector and put the long-term security of our state ahead of short-term politics, there are serious policy options facing Florida.

Eric Silagy, president of Florida Power & Light Co., was elected the 2012-2013 chair-elect.
