West weighed in on Monday, taking to Facebook to take aim at Republicans -- namely U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. -- who are backing Obamas call for military action.

U.S. Rep. Dennis Ross attended a classified briefing on the situation in Syria on Sunday and said on Monday that he continued to oppose American military action against that nations regime. "Yesterday, I attended a classified briefing for members of Congress on the assessment of Syria, Ross said on Monday. I join President Obama in strongly condemning the regime's use of chemical weapons against their people. However, the decision to use military force against Bashar al-Assad is one that the president of the United States must seek approval first from Congress.

A Ramussen Reports poll, released Monday, showed 47 percent of likely voters gave the president a "poor" rating on government spending, while an additional 19 percent gave him a "fair" rating. Only 14 percent gave Obama an "excellent" rating on government spending, while 19 percent gave him a "good" rating.

A team of anthropological researchers from the University of South Florida began the exhumation process Saturday to uncover bodies at the Dozier School for Boys in Marianna, and have since been working tirelessly throughout the holiday weekend to shed light on what really happened at Dozier so many years ago. Human remains were found at the school in a shallow hole about 30 yards north of a set of white crosses at the school. Dr. Erin Kimmerle, who has been leading the research team, said the hardware put the grave in the 1940s or later.

Three teenagers who brutally beat a 13-year-old boy on a school bus pleaded guilty to aggravated battery in juvenile court on Thursday. A third teenager also pleaded guilty to robbery. The victim in the case was attending summer school at Lealman Intermediate School when he was approached by two of the boys, who asked him if he wanted to buy marijuana. The victim told a teacher, and was later beaten by the two boys who were sitting behind him on the school bus.
